Invisalign in Chicago
Clear aligner treatment, designed around your face. By AACD-credentialed cosmetic dentist Dr. Brittany Dickinson, Lakeview Chicago.
Most Invisalign providers move your teeth to where the software says they should go. I move them to where they look best with your face — your jawline, your lip, your smile in motion. That's the difference between a straight smile and a smile that actually suits you.

Is Invisalign right for you?
Invisalign is the right tool for the right case. It's not the right tool for every case. Here's how I think about it — and how I'll think about it with you in our consultation.
Invisalign is a strong fit if you:
Have mild-to-moderate crowding, spacing, or bite issues
Want a discreet option that fits your professional life
Are disciplined enough to wear the trays 22 hours a day
Are considering veneers eventually — moving your teeth into the right position first means we can do fewer, more conservative veneers later
Want a clinician who plans your tooth movement around your face, not just your bite
Invisalign may not be the right call if you:
Have severe rotation, skeletal bite issues, or impacted teeth — traditional braces or oral surgery may be the better path
Are focused on tooth shape, color, or worn edges — porcelain veneers will get you there faster
Can't reliably wear trays 22 hours a day — we'll have an honest conversation about whether the result is worth the commitment
Want a "quick fix" — Invisalign done well takes 9 to 15 months for most cases
Not sure which side you're on? That's exactly what the consultation is for. I won't push you toward Invisalign if it isn't the right fit — that's a promise.
A note on how I plan Invisalign cases
Most providers move your teeth to where the orthodontic software says they should go. That's a fine starting point — but it's not enough on its own.
I plan every case around your face. I look at your face shape, your jawline, and the way your upper lip drapes over your teeth — and then I decide where your teeth should sit so they look right with your face and support your lip in a very specific way.
It's the same philosophy I bring to veneers, smile makeovers, and bonding. We're not just straightening teeth. We're designing a smile that suits the rest of you.

Invisalign Pricing in Chicago
Most cosmetic dentistry websites won't tell you what something costs. I'd rather you walk in already knowing whether we're in the right ballpark — so we can spend the consultation talking about your smile, not your sticker shock.
Short-Term Case
Invisalign Express
$5,500
~3–6 months treatment
Best for minor crowding, mild relapse after old braces, or a small cosmetic refinement. Express cases are a great option for patients who already have a fundamentally good bite and just want to clean up the smile line.
About 1 in 5 of my Invisalign patients are Express candidates.
Includes your final custom retainer.
MOST POPULAR
Invisalign Comprehensive
$7,000
Full treatment · 9–15 months · Includes refinements
The most common path for my Invisalign patients. We address crowding, spacing, bite, and smile-line aesthetics — all planned around your face, not just your teeth. Includes any mid-treatment refinement trays if your teeth need a nudge.
Includes your final custom retainer.
THE STRATEGIC SEQUENCE
Invisalign + Veneers
From $16,000
$6,000 Invisalign + $10,000+ porcelain veneers
For patients who want the best cosmetic result with the most conservative tooth preparation. We move your teeth into the ideal position first, then layer veneers on top — which means thinner veneers, less drilling, and a result that lasts longer.
Includes your final Nightguard-style retainer.

Every quote is complete. No surprise add-ons, no "we found something extra" calls a month in. What we agree to at consultation is what you pay.
The Process — What to Expect
Invisalign isn't complicated, but it does have a few moving parts. Here's exactly how it works at our Lakeview office — from the day you walk in for your consultation to the day you wear your final retainer for the first time.
01
Consultation + iTero 3D scan
We start with a 60-minute consultation. I'll look at your teeth, your bite, and — most importantly — how your smile sits with the rest of your face. We'll do a 3D iTero scan so you can see a digital preview of your potential result before you commit to anything. No high pressure, no same-day yes required.
02
Your custom treatment plan
I personally review every tooth movement in your plan — I don't just accept what the orthodontic software auto-generates. This is where the facially driven part of my approach comes in: I'm not just straightening teeth, I'm positioning them to look right with your face. You'll get a clear plan, a clear timeline, and a clear, all-in price before we order a single tray.
03
Short, comfortable check-ins
You'll switch to a new aligner every 7–14 days at home and stop by my Lakeview office every 8–10 weeks for a quick progress check. Most patients combine their visit with a coffee run (we’re across the street from Starbucks) or a lunch break — appointments rarely run more than 20 minutes. If anything ever feels off between visits, you text us and we figure it out.
04
Retention — the part most providers skip
At the end of treatment you get a custom retainer (or a night guard, depending on your case) — included in your all-in price, never an upcharge at the finish line. Teeth want to drift. Retention is what keeps your result for life. We'll talk about how often to wear it, how to take care of it, and what to do if you lose one. (Don't worry, it happens.)
Throughout treatment, you're working directly with me — not handed off to a hygienist or an associate halfway through. If you have questions, the person who designed your plan is the one answering them.
What my Invisalign patients say
"I have been a patient of Dr Brittany's for over ten years now and I could not be more thrilled with the work that I've had done. Her team gives five-star service every time, and she is an absolute artist when it comes to your smile. I had Invisalign and my upper veneers done and the final result is downright impressive. I'm constantly complimented on my smile and Dr Brittany's thorough follow up post-treatment has been exceptional."

Patient experience matters more to me than any award I'll ever win. Here's what people who've actually done Invisalign with me have to say.
"I interviewed 7 dental practices before I decided on Dr. Brittany for my teeth straightening process. I thought I could only do braces after a poor experience with a commercial teeth straightening service, but Dr. Brittany explained that I was absolutely a candidate for Invisalign. The solution she proposed was the quickest and within the budget I set for myself. She did not try to upsell me on additional services and set expectations for my progress timeframe."
— Aggie A. · Invisalign patient · Interviewed 7 practices · ★★★★★ Google review
"I went to see Dr. Brittany for Invisalign and bonding services, and I honestly couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment you walk in, it doesn't feel like a typical dental office — it feels closer to a spa. Dr. Brittany and her team are kind, professional, and genuinely attentive. They take the time to walk you through every step, explain all your options clearly, and never make you feel pressured. It's very much a collaborative approach — you feel informed and comfortable in every decision you're making about your smile. The results have been better than I expected. I've never been happier with my smile."

NEIGHBORHOOD HUB
Invisalign in Lincoln Park, Chicago

Common questions about Invisalign in Chicago
The questions I get most often during consultations. If your question isn't here, just ask — at the consult, by text, or by email.

At my Lakeview office, Invisalign Express runs $5,500, Comprehensive runs $7,000, and a strategic Invisalign + Veneers combination starts around $16,000. Every quote is all-in — meaning it includes your final retainer or night guard. Most Invisalign providers don't include those in the initial quote, which causes sticker shock at the finish line. We don't do that.
-
Two things. First, I personally plan every case — I don't just accept what the orthodontic software auto-generates. Second, I plan tooth movement around your face, not just your bite. I look at your face shape, jawline, and how your upper lip drapes over your teeth, then position your teeth so they look right with the rest of you. It's the same facially-driven philosophy I use for porcelain veneers and smile makeovers.

Often, yes. If your teeth aren't in their ideal position, putting veneers on top of crooked teeth means either thicker veneers (more drilling) or a result that doesn't last as long. Moving your teeth into the right position first means fewer veneers, more conservative tooth prep, and a smile that holds up. The full breakdown is in my blog post on the topic — link below.
-
Invisalign Express cases typically run 3–6 months (5–7 trays). Most Comprehensive cases run 9–15 months. Combination Invisalign + veneers cases take 14–18 months total — about a year of aligners followed by veneer placement. We map out a specific timeline at your consultation based on your case.

I'm a fee-for-service practice, which means I'm out-of-network with all dental insurance plans. Patients pay for treatment directly — but my office submits the insurance paperwork on your behalf, so you don't have to deal with the back-and-forth. Any reimbursement check goes directly to you. Most plans that include orthodontic coverage reimburse $1,500–$3,000 toward Invisalign, though the exact amount depends entirely on your plan.
I work this way on purpose. Being out-of-network means I'm not constrained by insurance contracts that dictate what materials I use, how much time I spend with you, or what counts as "medically necessary." It lets me practice the way I think cosmetic dentistry should be practiced — with full attention on the result.

It's not the end of the world. If you're close to your next tray in the series, we'll usually have you move forward early. If you're at the beginning of a tray, we'll get a replacement ordered. Keep them out of dog-height — and out of napkins at restaurants, which is the other common loss situation. We've seen it all.
Have a question that isn't on this list? Bring it to your consultation, or text us at the office — I'd rather answer it directly than leave you guessing.
